WSF Initiatives
Our Initiatives
1. A Regional Teams initiative, which encourages the naming of Regional Youth Teams based on spring races and gives monetary awards to team members who travel to designated summer races.
2. An Under 23 Team Initiative, including a U23 team with uniforms, a coaching position, training camps, and an under-23 North American championship race.
And New for 2011:
Junior Team to Vajda Cup: Following the suggestion of US Slalom Head Coach Silvan Poberaj, the WSF funded selected juniors to compete in the Vajda Cup, a European race series held in August, and gave performance awards to those qualifying for semis, finals, and winning medals.
